The Story behind

Skylla

The Single Skylla made it into the Swiss Charts (19th place) for two weeks in 2018 and first place into Radio Sunshine Hörercharts.

INFINITAS – gentler than usual! The four songs of their first single “Skylla” are melodic, rousing. The title song as well as Samael were already immortalized on the debut album CIVITAS INTERITUS and are now put in a new light. The last song on the single CD offers something extraordinary. The clarinet melodies of Leprechaun were recorded by none other than the Swiss folk music icon Dani Häusler.

Skylla – a sea monster of Greek mythology. This song reflects the processing of death and the feelings of being pulled down. This is followed by a melancholic instrumental outro – which takes the listener out to sea.

Samael is a fallen angel, who in his rage, is tempted to take revenge. This song, originally featured on the album CIVITAS INTERITUS , is recorded as an acoustic version.

To round it off – Leprechaun leaves you dancing with Irish rhythms and intertwining clarinet and violin melodies.
